Motorcyclist dies following collision with car

A 47-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car and being struck by a pickup early Friday.
According to police, the accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of South State Street and Loockerman Street. The motorcyclist, identified as John Doe, was traveling northbound on South State Street when he collided with a car that was turning left onto Loockerman Street.
Doe was thrown from his motorcycle and then struck by a pickup truck that was traveling southbound on South State Street. He was taken to Kent General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the car, identified as Jane Smith, 54, was not injured. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as John Jones, 60, was also not injured.
Police are still investigating the accident.
