ABBA to Trump: Stop using our tunes

The Swedish pop group ABBA has asked former US President Donald Trump to stop using their music at his rallies.

ABBA's manager Görel Hanser wrote a letter to Trump's campaign team in October 2020, asking them to stop using the group's songs "Dancing Queen" and "The Winner Takes It All" at their events.

ABBA has a long-standing policy of not allowing their music to be used for political purposes.

In a statement, Hanser said that the group "does not want to be associated with any political party or campaign" and that they believe that their music should be "enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their political beliefs."

Trump's campaign team has not yet responded to ABBA's request.

ABBA is one of the most successful pop groups of all time, with over 380 million records sold worldwide.

The group's music has been used in a variety of films, television shows, and commercials.

In 2010, ABBA was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
