JoAnn Naumann, who currently serves as the senior enlisted adviser for Special Operations-Korea, has been selected to become the first female command sergeant major for Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). This historic appointment will make Naumann the highest-ranking enlisted female soldier in the US Army Special Operations Forces.
Naumann's selection, which was announced by USASOC, marks a significant milestone for gender equality in the military. Her appointment reflects the growing recognition of the capabilities and leadership qualities of female soldiers, regardless of their gender.
