History of the Paralympic Games

The Paralympic Games are an international multi-sport event for athletes with physical, intellectual, or visual impairments. The games were first held in Rome in 1960 as a way to give injured war veterans an opportunity to compete in sports. Since then, the Paralympics have grown into a major sporting event, with over 4,000 athletes from over 160 countries competing in 22 different sports.

The Paralympic Games Paris 2024 will be the 17th Paralympic Games. The games will be held in Paris, France from August 28th to September 8th, 2024. The games will feature 22 different sports, including archery, athletics, cycling, equestrian, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, and wheelchair rugby.

The Paralympic Games Paris 2024 are expected to be the most inclusive Paralympic Games ever. The games will feature a record number of female athletes, and athletes from developing countries. The games will also be the first Paralympic Games to be held in a city that has previously hosted the Olympic Games.
