Pouzzolane: EcoRock Dalhousie to Meet with Citizens in Late September

Local Company EcoRock Dalhousie to Host Public Meeting on Pouzzolane

EcoRock Dalhousie, a local company that specializes in the production of pouzzolane, will be hosting a public meeting on September 29th to discuss their plans for a new pouzzolane production facility in Dalhousie, New Brunswick.

The meeting will be held at the Dalhousie Town Hall from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. EcoRock Dalhousie representatives will be on hand to provide information about the project, answer questions, and hear feedback from the community.

Pouzzolane is a natural volcanic material that is used as a supplementary cementitious material in concrete. It has a number of advantages over traditional Portland cement, including its lower carbon footprint, its increased durability, and its resistance to chloride penetration.

EcoRock Dalhousie's new pouzzolane production facility will be located on a 10-acre site in the Dalhousie Industrial Park. The facility will have the capacity to produce up to 100,000 tonnes of pouzzolane per year.

The project is expected to create up to 20 new jobs in the Dalhousie area. It will also provide a new source of revenue for the town and help to reduce the environmental impact of concrete production in the region.

EcoRock Dalhousie is committed to working with the community to ensure that the project is a success. The company has already met with a number of local stakeholders, including the Town of Dalhousie, the Restigouche County Economic Development Corporation, and the New Brunswick Department of Environment and Local Government.

The public meeting on September 29th is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the project and to provide feedback to EcoRock Dalhousie.
